In the heart of the Kootenay Rockies, nestled on the banks of the Kootenay
River, use Springbrook Resort as your centre to explore: canoe a river -
catch a
trout - hike to an alpine lake - visit an old lookout - or roam the back
roads stopping at a natural hot springs. Our part of the valley and the mountains
around us are still relatively undeveloped.
In a short drive, one can go from Valley bottom to Mountain top with an
abundance of wildlife viewing to enjoy. The photographic opportunities
are unlimited. Enjoy the majestic beauty of the Rockies in winter and the
excitement of snowmobiling, cross-country / downhill skiing or try your
luck at ice fishing in one of the wilderness lakes.
Springbrook Resort is centrally located near
Kimberley, Cranbrook, Fort Steele, Faimont Hot Springs, Canal Flats,
Invermere and Radium Hot Springs. Barney is an avid fly fisherman with
many tales to tell. Marnie can point you in the right direction, draw
you a map or give you more information to make your stay exciting. It's
truly a vacation destination worth exploring.
Our facilities include a coin laundry, used book store, (some rare pre
1950 hard covers), our gift and souvenir store has a great selection of
T-Shirts and Sweatshirts (most designs done on request), and a small snack
shop. On the other side of the road is a restaurant, gas/diesel station,
and grocery store. Our Post office is within walking distance.
